Maritime Cyber Risk Management

Course location: Fleetwood. A new one-day course for all ship staff to help understand what cyber security is and how to prevent it.

Train the Trainer

Course location: Whitfield, Dover. A three-day course aimed at giving the students the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to research, design, prepare and deliver short professional courses for maritime people working, or wishing to work, within the maritime industry.

Superyacht Captain Command and Control Course
Run by: West Nautical Ltd
Period of recognition: 21 July 2019 – 20 July 2022
Course location: South Shields Marine School, Newcastle on Tyne. This two-day course, designed for a maximum of twelve delegates, is part of a three-day programme to develop command and control behaviours in super-yacht mates and masters.

Safe Entry into Enclosed Spaces
Period of recognition: 1 November 2019 – 31 October 2022
Course location: Tyne & Wear. This one day course covers how to enter and work safely in an enclosed space including correct use of an emergency escape breathing device (EEBD)

Entry into Enclosed/Dangerous Spaces
Run by: Stream Marine Training Ltd
Period of recognition: 19 January 2017 – 18 January 2020 *course re-recognition in process
Course location: Glasgow. A one day course with a mixture of classroom and practical work provides delegates with the skills to prevent enclosed space incidents occurring.

Ship to Ship Simulator

Course location: South Tyneside. A one week course designed to provide knowledge of handling vessels in close proximity to one another, ship planning and bridge team management techniques in a ship to ship context.

Entering Enclosed Spaces Aboard Ships Safety Awareness (online course)
Run by: City of Glasgow College
